"Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. As you reflected on the New Year, did you feel a need to do more to serve the poor of our world? Perhaps volunteering to drill a water well is a great way to answer that calling. Since 2002, the Honduras Water Ministry (HWM), sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, has taken volunteer missionaries to drill water wells in the El Paraiso region of Honduras. To date, 44 water wells serving over 30,000 Hondurans have been drilled by both volunteers and Honduran teams trained by the HWM. Volunteers are needed for missionary trip to Honduras throughout the calendar year. Volunteers may choose to join teams that will provide the following services: Drill a new water well Teach sustainable health and hygiene programs Minister to children and adults in the community. Repair/replace pumps on existing wells.
