Emmanuel Episcopal Church Stewardship Tithing Time, Talent & Treasure

Stewardship is not just fund-raising – it is faith-raising. While your tithing will certainly benefit and support your congregation and its ministries, scripture reminds us repeatedly that its true value lies in the enrichment of faith that comes from giving freely.

3 Malachi 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven for you and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”

Your tithe affirms your personal stewardship on behalf of our congregation. Paying the bills is always challenging, and your financial pledge enables our Vestry to plan our year. Your generosity not only makes possible the thoughtful funding of our existing ministries, but allows consideration of growing our ministries both in extent and nature.

Yet, this is not just fund-raising, so our pledge cards suggest various ways in which we might practice faith-raising stewardship - Tithing Time, Talent & Treasure.

As we approach a new year, we ask that you again be as generous as possible. All of us working together will keep Emmanuel Episcopal Church moving forward. Thanks again for your help in this important matter.

Yours in Christ,
Tom C. Bruns, Rector
